The South Shore Baseball Club’s Rookie League is designed for youngsters 5 to 7 years of age with little or no previous experience in organized athletics. The SSBC staff of professional coaches emphasizes basics and fundamentals as well as safety and sportsmanship. Meets for one hour twice a week for the four week session. All kids will be hitting a pitched ball. There is no hitting off a tee!
Players are placed on teams based on their chosen practice times. Practices are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 4:30. Saturday games are between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
The Rookie League is held three times a year. The first Spring Session is held immediately after April School Vacation. The Summer Session starts right after Memorial Day and the Fall Session will be right after school begins.
