Hyper Teletubbies Survive

Led by the Big Three Survivor Series veterans of Captain Jake Schulte, Brody Noonan and Patrick Higgins, the Hyper Teletubbies held off a final day surge from the Hanover Halapenos to win the December Survivor Series.

Strong offensive contributions from Owen Christou and Harrison Washburn were big factors for the champions, as was the acquisition of veteran Teddy Swanson on the final two days.

The late charging Hanover Halapenos put a scare into the champs but could not quite sustain their late charge and finished in second place.

The third place Cheeseballs were close throughout but never found the winning streak to put them over the top. Captain Henry Rogers led the league with six homeruns and 9 RBI’s.

Chris Swirbalus won his third career batting title with a .500 average while Brody Beale was named the Outstanding Defensive player.

2017 – 2018 Survivor Series

The Survivor Series is an indoor baseball tournament played over four days for ages 10-12.

Players may enter as individuals and we’ll assign you to a team or enter as a group. Each team will have up to ten players each. The SSBC reserves the right to fill teams to the ten player limit.

The indoor games will be played on the turfed field with incrediballs and special “SSBC Niles Rules” of indoor play.

Each game begins in the “extra inning format”, top of the tenth inning, tie score. Winners survive and play the next challenger while losers move to the drill station and await their next game.

Team and individual records are kept. Batting, homerun and RBI champs are crowned along with the team Survivor Series winner.

Cost is $200 for NON MEMBERS and $165 for current SSBC MEMBERS
